chore: nightly dependency and vulnerability patch

This PR applies minor and patch updates for all project dependencies to their latest stable versions and cleans up the module files. The govulncheck scans returned no current known vulnerabilities in the Go standard library or project modules. Changes were verified with Go build and short test runs.
