Is there a way to select multiple files? I need it e.g. for multiple file deletion.

Nope. Right now it’s not possible. But we can add it as a feature request for somebody to implement, if someone would like to do it.

In some command line tools, I've seen v to be intuitive for such multi-item selection. v also corresponds to vim-like visual mode selection for those familiar with vim keybindings. From README I see that v might still be unoccupied. Thoughts @antonmedv?

If you agree, I'd like to take a dig at this feature implementation. I've been looking for a go open-source project to contribute that I'd use myself and this one seems useful for me.

I'm still working on it and learning stuff (bubble tea, lip gloss, etc) but I wanted to show the progress done until now. I have implemented multi-selection, yet to implement the deletion. Feel free to review the PR and provide any feedback. Thanks!

If not the code, please take a look at the demo video I posted on my latest comment. Let me know if you have any suggestions on color schemes since I could certainly use some help with that.
