Does not work via Niri keybinds, but does work somewhat by manual invocation

I decided today to try Niri for the first time because of this one neat functionality I had seen in Kakoune (essentially the same behaviour as this plugin.) After installing through LazyVim (in NvChad) using the following configuration:

I simlinked ~/.local/bin/vim-niri-nav to ~/.local/share/nvim/lazy/vim-niri-nav/vim-niri-nav, added the verbatim text given as Niri binding examples, and finally ensured that the plugin was loaded by NvChad and that I had rebooted just to be sure - no matter what, using the keybinds I have provided doesn't work and produces zero error messages of any kind, but using it via the command line directly will allow me to at least switch the overall Niri windows (but doesn't interact with Neovim panes at all.)
