Hi, I'm Amey

I'm a Simons Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Minnesota. I hold a PhD in physics from UCLA. I work on computational and theoretical problems in strongly interacting systems, including confinement, QCD strings and emergent many-body phenomena. I combine analytical work with large-scale numerics and, increasingly, machine learning.

Most of my work pairs a hard modelling problem with careful validation. I check samplers against exact results, report uncertainties that survive scrutiny, and probe models until I understand where they break.

I work on: Monte Carlo methods · statistical inference · generative models · numerical computing in Python
