… name of macOS) I have not the size of a BasicTeX installation (the download is 140 MB, according to https://tug.org/mactex/). I corrected the name of the mac operating systems (Mac OS X, then OS X from the 10.8 version, then macOS from the 10.12 version, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacOS#OS_X).
