Open the V39 draft spec family over promoted V38 inference correctness and define the commercial Reading readiness gate plan. Capture the five-step enterprise Reading UX, Depository supply/search path, source-safe AssetPack preview, settlement boundary, and V38 inference-stack carry-forward requirements. Wire V39 Gate 1 validation into local scripts, gate/canon workflows, roadmap posture, repository docs, protocol posture files, and PR guidance. Validated with check:v39-gate1, V39 draft spec-family, V38 canonical input/posture checks, protocol typecheck, demonstration QA, spec title quality, and diff checks.
Extend the package boundary test canon map for promoted V38 and draft V39 so the protocol package test suite tracks the current active pointer. Validated with the targeted protocol package boundary test, full @bitcode/protocol test suite, and diff hygiene.
Update the demonstration specifying test's active-canon artifact-count map so V38 canonical input validation expects the current source truth of artifacts=0. Validated with the targeted v21-specifying node test and diff hygiene.

Wire the boundary through AssetPack preprocess/postprocess storage projection and export the required BTD subpaths. Refresh the Gate 6 preview artifact predicate now that the roadmap has advanced to Gate 7.

Update the demonstration specifying test's expected canonical generated artifact counts for V35 through V39 so active V38 and draft V39 promotion validation match the maintained generated-artifact catalog.
