What

Move @adobe/aio-lib-ims from dependencies to devDependencies (and bump ^7 → ^8).

Why

aio-lib-ims is only used in tests — to obtain a token to pass into init(). The library source never imports it: init(accessToken, ...) receives the token from the caller. As a runtime dependency it needlessly pulled:

@adobe/aio-lib-ims@7 → @adobe/aio-lib-state@3 → @azure/cosmos@3.17.3 → uuid@8.3.2 (deprecated)

into every consumer (e.g. @adobe/aio-cli-plugin-app-templates). Reclassifying it as a devDependency removes aio-lib-ims and the uuid@8 chain entirely from the production/consumer dependency tree.

The test-only require('@adobe/aio-lib-ims') is allow-listed under the existing node/no-unpublished-require allowModules (same pattern already used for @jest/globals).

Validation

  • ✅ Production install (npm install --omit=dev): no longer contains aio-lib-ims or uuid@8 — zero production deprecations
  • ✅ Unit tests: 39/39 pass, 100% coverage
  • ✅ Lint clean

…id@8 from the consumer tree (APPBLD-4864)

aio-lib-ims is only used in tests (to obtain a token to pass into init()); the
library src never imports it — init(accessToken, ...) receives the token from
the caller. As a runtime dependency it needlessly pulled aio-lib-ims@7 ->
aio-lib-state@3 -> @azure/cosmos@3 -> uuid@8.3.2 (deprecated) into every
consumer (e.g. @adobe/aio-cli-plugin-app-templates).

Moving it to devDependencies (and bumping to ^8) removes aio-lib-ims and the
uuid@8 chain entirely from the production/consumer dependency tree. Added
@adobe/aio-lib-ims to the existing node/no-unpublished-require allowModules
(same pattern already used for @jest/globals) so the test-only require lints
cleanly.

Validation: production install (--omit=dev) no longer contains aio-lib-ims or
uuid@8; unit tests 39/39 pass with 100% coverage; lint clean.
