Releases are signed with Developer ID and notarized since 0.63.0.

  • README: the right-click Open / xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine instructions are replaced by "signed and notarized by Apple; after updating from an older version, macOS asks once for keychain access".
  • Homebrew cask (scripts/gen-homebrew-cask.sh): no more Gatekeeper caveat. With it gone, the --core variant was identical, so it is removed along with the unused core input of the cask-audit action.
  • packaging/README.md and verify-packaging.yml: notarization no longer blocks a homebrew-cask core submission.

The tap picks the new cask up at the next release.

…re notarized

Since 0.63.0 the app is signed with Developer ID and notarized, so the README
and the Homebrew cask no longer need the right-click Open steps or the xattr
quarantine command. The cask loses its caveat altogether, which also removes
the tap/core variant split.
