In this example you listed, can you help me understand the Profiler(program_args = part? If I want to profile just one line of code do I need to change this?

program_args, tells the profiler how to launch the application. You can use as follows:
program_args= ["path_to_binary", "arg1", "arg2",...]
This will launch the program thus:
./path_to_binary arg1 arg2 ...

For profiling lines of code you can can use the start_counters function

perf= Profiler(events_groups=events)
perf.start_counters(0)
#my line of code
data= perf.read_events()
print(data)

Note that profiling the code with start_counters this there is no guarantee of synchronization of the start of the event and the code execution, so you may have some small overcounting.
