A Tauri-based Minecraft launcher written in TypeScript with a permission-based plugin system

I always loved the idea of applications (Tachiyomi) and games (Mindustry) having addons. The addition of features at runtime with one's own code, the modification of the UI to one's own liking, and the ability to use community-made plugins are so cool...
However, the existing Minecraft launchers lack a user plugin system. While it is questionable whether extensible launchers for Minecraft are even needed, I still decided to make this project, primarily for myself.

Please understand that these builds are not intended for most users. There may be bugs and other instabilities.
The development builds are available through:
- GitHub Actions (includes builds from pull requests opened by contributors).
- nightly.link (this link will always point only to the latest version of the
nightlybranch).
Prebuilt Development builds are provided for Linux, Windows, and macOS.
If you want to report a bug or suggest a feature, please open an issue in GitHub Issues.
Kaede is in early stages of development. Look at the plan to see more about this launcher >.<
No prior Rust knowledge is needed to contribute to this project. Most of the code was written in TypeScript using the Tauri API. These files will help in contributing:
- README for TypeScript-related code (the most important one)
- README for Rust-related code
- Contributing Guidelines
- MultiMC Patch System
- Building from Source
In case you want to run this launcher with Wails or other backends, or if you want to contribute to the Browser/Wails versions, see the following files.
I also leave comments in the code.
For launcher plugins, themes, or translations:
Pull requests are welcome. AI code that impacts regular Tauri builds is not welcome; see AGENTS.md for more. For major changes, please open an issue first to discuss what you would like to change.
