ci(repo): raise the release job timeout to 60 minutes - #1454
Conversation
The test step alone takes about 20 minutes on a good runner (apollo-react 1161s, mostly module import time), leaving almost no headroom under the 30-minute cap. Slower runners push the job over and it gets cancelled before publishing: 8 of the last 12 release runs ended this way. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Summary
Raise
timeout-minuteson the Release and Publish job in.github/workflows/release.ymlfrom 30 to 60.Why
Releases keep getting cancelled at the 30-minute cap before the Release step runs. 8 of the last 12 release runs ended as
cancelled. Example: run 39838105105 was still in apollo-react's tests at 30:00.Even a passing run gets close to the cap. In run 39688430866, apollo-react tests took 1161s and apollo-wind took 581s, and the whole job took about 26 minutes. Slower runners push it over.
Follow-up (not in this PR)
apollo-react test time is mostly module loading (
import 665sof 1161s). Cutting that would speed up both PR CI and the release job, and would let this timeout come back down.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
