Problem:
Omarchy/Arch users had no native installation path, and Arch's canonical DDS MIME name caused two format-contract tests to fail. The existing source installer is tied to RPM ownership checks.
Solution:
Add an experimental x86-64 Arch package recipe for released v0.1.4 with checksummed sources, locked vendored dependencies, runtime codec dependencies and dependency licenses. Pacman owns installation and removal; default applications stay unchanged. Apply the DDS compatibility fix to the release package and current source, recognizing MIME aliases and registering both DDS names.
Update the user-facing README and distribution guide with installation, updates, removal and Hyprland caveats. Update contributor docs to distinguish working-tree verification from the pinned release build. Add recipe syntax and ShellCheck validation to CI. Work is split into a compatibility commit and a packaging/documentation commit.
Tests:
Note:
Fedora remains the reference platform. This is a local Arch recipe, not an AUR publication or official Arch support claim. Fullscreen/scaling, clipboard, portal interaction, actual screen-lock prevention, comprehensive hardware fallback, performance budgets and upgrades from an older Arch package still need verification. The recipe packages the published release plus its compatibility patch, not newer checkout changes.
