Neither the PS1 nor PC versions allow you to turn off music in the game, which is something that can be done in Breath of Fire II, IV, and V. The reason for such a feature would be to make it easier to record individual sound effects. Ideally this feature would perhaps best be used for the PS1 version in the event the PC version does not have the best audio, but a welcome addition either way.
