Fix controller remapping

Controller remapping does not work as expected. When remapping controller buttons, the original button must still be used in some circumstances.

Somewhat related to this, the game stops recognizing what controller is being used when checking out any other application. For example, when trying to capture a screenshot of the game for bug testing or briefly checking discord, the controller is no longer useable when resuming the game. Completely turning off the game and relaunching it is the only way to use the controller again.
