Summary of Features

  1. Automatic Background Update Checking (UpdateChecker.java):

    • Asynchronously queries GitHub Releases for Teddy563/realworldmc.
    • Compares semantic versions against the installed mod version.
    • Parses the latest release metadata, changelog and mc1.21.1 JAR asset.
  2. Interactive In-Game Updater & Changelog Screen (UpdateScreen.java):

    • Opens a custom GUI matching the mod's visual theme.
    • Scrollable changelog view formatted directly from GitHub release notes.
    • Live download button with real-time percentage progress, saving the updated JAR into the active mods/ directory.
    • Clean Later button to dismiss without interruption.
  3. Menu Integration:

    • Pause Menu (ESC): displays an unobtrusive green update button badge (PauseScreenMixin) when an update is detected.
    • Help Guide (/earth help): displays an update button at the bottom of the navigation bar.
  4. Multi-language Support (i18n):

    • Added complete Polish translations (assets/earthcraft/lang/pl_pl.json).
    • Extended English translations (assets/earthcraft/lang/en_us.json) with all GUI keys.

Thanks! Integrated into #13 and released in 1.0.4. Render settings and Polish strings are included. The updater now shows release notes and opens GitHub; it does not overwrite a running mod.
