Impact Distance is a specialized tactical utility app developed during the height of conflict to provide clarity and peace of mind during missile alerts and explosions.
Sometimes, when you see a missile explode or hear a blast, your senses can play tricks on you—making a distant impact feel dangerously close. This app was created as a hobby project to allow users to calculate the exact distance of an impact based on the speed of sound, helping to distinguish between immediate threats and distant events.
Developed in a war zone, this tool solves a specific problem: uncertainty. By measuring the time between the visual flash of an explosion and the audible boom, we can apply physics to determine exactly how far away the event occurred.
