Youth Obseity and Nutrition Behaviors

Looking at trends and potential behavioral influences on youth obseity, looking at high school students, grades 9-12.

Overview

There is a rising rate, amongst all children, of obesity and identifying negative beahviors and any other determinant to help with preventative action is important. Using public health data to make visualizations. That we are then able to analyze and create possible claims to inform the public (our audience).

Data Sources and Acknowledgements

Used dataset that can be found publicly online from data.gov. Also acknowledging thta we used packages like tidyvesrse for wrangling the data and ggplot 2 for the visualizations.

Current Plan

To perform modeling based off tidied data for deeper analysis. Summarixing our findings in a qmd file and seeing what we can do to move forward. Are there any other things that we should consider within our project.

Repo Structure

Have a main branch that holds all our commits/uploads. Then dev branches that hold each commit that we specifically uploaded.
