Sparky Stereo OS

This is the stereo version of Netgen by Sparky Stereo OS, forked from NGSolve/netgen. netgen -stereo (the option existed and did nothing) creates the drawing widget with native stereo, a GLX quad-buffer visual, and draws the scene once for each eye, one world and two cameras. Without the option nothing changes; on Sparky Stereo OS the desktop shows the stereo window on any 3D display.

Where it comes from:

  • Netgen is written by Joachim Schöberl (AUTHORS) and developed by the NGSolve community.
  • Debian is the base of the system.
  • SparkyLinux, by Paweł "pavroo" Pijanowski, builds on Debian.
  • Sparky Stereo OS is the stereo 3D edition of SparkyLinux: SparkyOS, powered by Debian.

The stereo3d branch holds this work on Netgen 6.2.2606, the version the distribution builds (netgen 6.2.2606+dfsg1-1+stereo3d1). The licence is unchanged; see LICENSE.

Netgen mesh generator

NETGEN is an automatic 3d tetrahedral mesh generator. It accepts input from constructive solid geometry (CSG) or boundary representation (BRep) from STL file format. The connection to a geometry kernel allows the handling of IGES and STEP files. NETGEN contains modules for mesh optimization and hierarchical mesh refinement. Netgen 6.x supports scripting via a Python interface. Netgen is open source based on the LGPL license. It is available for Unix/Linux, Windows, and OSX.
