The only workflow so far published to PyPI on a tag. The 19 unit tests never ran automatically, so a regression could reach a release without anything failing first.

Changes

  • .github/workflows/test.yml — pytest on push to main and on every pull_request, across Python 3.11 and 3.12 (matching requires-python and the classifiers in pyproject.toml), fail-fast: false so one version failing still reports the other.
  • README — status badge, and the Status section now states that the tests run on every push and PR.

Verification

Ran locally in a clean venv against the package installed with -e ".[dev]":

19 passed in 0.24s

anything failing first.

Adds a pytest job across Python 3.11 and 3.12, matching requires-python
and the classifiers in pyproject.toml, plus a status badge in the README.
