The scheduled dependency gate fails because Chordsmith Web and Pocket DAW lock the affected development dependency Vite 6.4.3. Raise both existing Vite requirements from
^6.3.5to^6.4.5and lock 6.4.5. The only changed lockfile package is Vite; all other package versions and security gates are preserved.Vite 6.4.5 includes the fixes for the advisories affecting <=6.4.3, including Windows launch-editor GHSA-587h-7wmj-h5pm / CVE-2026-112942. It also avoids the 6.4.4-only fs.deny regression, GHSA-8g5g-mxqh-grgj. This is development-tool exposure; the audit is not evidence of a shipped app compromise.
Raw
npm audit --json --package-lock-onlywas captured before and after for each app. Each full audit changes from 1 high + 2 moderate vulnerable packages to 0 high/critical + 2 moderate packages. Both--omit=devaudits report zero vulnerabilities. The unchanged repository five-root dependency gate passes. The remaining findings concern development-only Vitest/@vitest/mocker: GHSA-qxg6-89mg-rqv8 and GHSA-xp26-3454-mjgp, with upstream 4.1.12 fixes; those packages are unchanged in this focused Vite repair.Validation on Windows, Node 24.16.0 / npm 11.13.0:
The first browser-dependent attempts lacked the browser revisions required by the existing locked Playwright 1.63. Those attempts are retained separately in local evidence, then rerun after installing the required binaries. All browser servers bind to loopback. No installed-app, physical-device or microphone evidence is claimed. No application versions, runtime audio code, installers or releases are changed.
Exact-head hosted verification: CI run 40245011827 passed, including dependency/security, Chordsmith web, DAW frontend/release contracts, Windows contracts/Cargo fmt/tests/Clippy and the family gate. Five unrelated jobs were skipped by the unchanged scope planner (DAW browser E2E was covered locally as above). Both CodeQL scans also passed. Verified head: 2b3ff1f.
