Login always persisted the token, so the app remembered you unconditionally. Add the choice: - Checkbox on the login form (default on = current behavior). - On → token in localStorage (survives restart) + username remembered and pre-filled next time. - Off → token in sessionStorage (cleared when the app closes), username not remembered. - checkAuth restores from either storage; logout clears both. Tests: remember=false uses sessionStorage; username remembered on default; checkAuth restores a session-only token.
