The program consists of various files

This page is massively out of date. You should get the files from the links in the thread on the Bukkit forum.

Plugin File (REQUIRED)

This is the main plugin .jar file. It is required no matter how you intend to configure your servers.

It can be used without the proxy or client patcher. If used on its own, players will have to reconnect manually when they teleport between servers.

Download Plugin

Modified Server (REQUIRED)

This is a modified version of the server. The current version of CraftBukkit doesn't support inter-thread communications. Multi-thread operation is required for a plugin like this, since network communications must be handled by separate threads.

Hopefully, the functionality will be added to the official build soon.

Modified CraftBukkit

Client Patcher (Optional)

This is the recommended way for users to reconnect to other servers. It is the original method, so has less potential bugs.

Any user who connects to your server with an unpatched client will have to manually reconnect to the other server when teleporting.

When a user teleports, they are kicked by the server. This patch detects the special kick message and auto-connects to the other server.

Client Patcher

Proxy Server (Optional)

This is a new feature. The players connect to the proxy server and the proxy server connect to the back-end servers.

The proxy detects the special kick message, but doesn't send it to the client. It then reconnects to the other server.

The player's client doesn't even realise that it has connected to a new server. All chunks disappear and the player appears at the target.

The disadvantage is that there is no way to tell the client what type of world it is connect to. This means that if you teleport from a normal server to a Nether server, the sky will remain blue (and black at night).

Also, there can be some glitches with mobs and item drops.
