feat(data): IEA WEO 2024 benchmark data for every declared region - #1043
Conversation
Imported from RMI/tpr_benchmark_data_preparation main (e1971ef, run 20261029_T130937Z) with scripts/import-benchmark-data.ts, then npm run build:timeseries. * IEA APS and STEPS 2024 gain 14 regions beside Global and Southeast Asia: Africa, Asia Pacific, Central and South America, Eurasia, Europe, European Union, Middle East, North America, CN, BR, IN, JP, RU, US (250 -> 978 and 263 -> 1173 rows). Every existing row is unchanged. * The 7 NGFS GCAM files change in row order only: #1035 relabelled their one-country regions in place, and the export sorts by the new codes. Same rows, values and headers. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

🔵 Needs a closer look
Approval is deferred because the PR adds thousands of externally sourced benchmark values and uses an ambiguous CN region label whose source accuracy and China-plus-Hong-Kong semantics cannot be independently verified by structural checks.

What changed in this PR
This pull request expands IEA WEO 2024 benchmark coverage to additional declared regions and countries, normalizes geography labels in seven NGFS GCAM datasets, and regenerates the timeseries index.
Changes:
- Adds APS and STEPS benchmark data for 14 additional IEA geographies.
- Updates NGFS GCAM country labels and row ordering without changing values.
- Regenerates row counts and geography lists in
src/data/index.gen.ts. - Addresses a review concern: the new
CNseries includes Hong Kong in metadata but may be rendered as China-only.

What
IEA's WEO 2024 benchmark data for every region its pathways declare, not only Global and Southeast Asia. Imported from RMI/tpr_benchmark_data_preparation
main(RMI/tpr_benchmark_data_preparation#34) withscripts/import-benchmark-data.ts, thennpm run build:timeseries. No metadata changes: the IEA 2024 metadata has declared these regions since #1000.Files (10)
IEA-APS-2024_timeseries.json(250 → 978 rows) andIEA-STEPS-2024_timeseries.json(263 → 1,173 rows): 14 new regions — Africa, Asia Pacific, Central and South America, Eurasia, Europe, European Union, Middle East, North America, CN, BR, IN, JP, RU, US. Every existing row is unchanged. IEA NZE stays Global only (licence).NGFS-*-GCAM-2024_timeseries.json: row order only. Fix/single country regions #1035 relabelled their one-country regions in place ("India" →IN), and the export sorts by the new codes. Same rows, values and headers; this is the ~68k-line part of the diff and needs no review.src/data/index.gen.ts: the two IEA entries' row counts and geography lists. Not included
