As commented in Slack with @iamjono, here's an update to the buildpack that is working for my current (extremely simple) Swift 3 app. All the credit is for @taplin who did a great work fighting with all the Heroku fun. I just updated the Swift version to the stable version and switched build configuration to release.
I've read in @taplin's README that there are still some issues with this buildpack, but I have not found any other problems yet. If I find any issue in my way on next days I'll update the PR.
