Summary

Adds a new skill, pinterest-to-figma, that brings a Pinterest board into Figma as a working mood board.

  • Captures every pin on a board through the user's signed-in Chrome session (Claude in Chrome), so secret and private boards work
  • Downloads each image at full resolution (/originals/), falling back to /736x/ when the original is missing or over Figma's 10 MB upload limit
  • Builds a masonry auto-layout frame in Figma (vertical columns, each pin placed in the shortest column, proportions preserved) with gaps and padding bound to the file's spacing variables
  • Uploads images into the frame via the Figma MCP upload_assets tool, verifies every slot has an image fill, then deletes the temporary downloads

Registered in the using-designpowers routing table and the README, wired into inspiration-scouting as a handoff when the user's references live on Pinterest, and added to tests/routing-fixtures.md so the routing contract covers it. scripts/check-routing.sh passes (16 fixtures).

Testing

Tested end to end on a private 60-pin board into an existing Figma design file: all 60 pins captured (none from Pinterest's "More ideas" recommendations), 60/60 image fills verified in Figma, columns balanced. Issues found during the test are fixed in the skill:

  • window.scrollBy() doesn't trigger Pinterest's lazy loading, so the skill now scrolls with the mouse wheel between collection calls
  • Browser tool results truncate at ~1,000 characters, so the pin list is read out in chunks of 10
  • The 736px version of an animated GIF is served as .jpg
  • Images are uploaded as raw bytes so the Pin <nnn> · <pin-id> layer names are kept

Not yet tested: boards with sections.
