Summary

Phase 5 (final) of epic #46. Closes the narrative-review epic with three concrete deliverables:

1. Numbered references: 100 in-body cite-card slugs [Key] converted to Cell Press numbered form [N]. New references.md carries 82 numbered entries in first-appearance order; refs.bib retains all 94 entries (12 are auxiliary, not numbered here). The Codispoti vs Schubring authorship resolution (per Phase 1 F2) is repeated in the references-section note for editor visibility.

2. Figure typography rescale: applied the 1.5x font-size rescale recommended by figures:figure-qa for Figs 2, 3, 4 (two-column 170 mm); reverted Fig 1 to original font sizes after the rescale broke its single-column layout, and widened Fig 1 to two-column instead. All four PNGs re-exported at 300 dpi (Cell Press print floor) with explicit DPI metadata.

3. Icon polish (Phase 5b): generated 10 transparent PNGs via figures:transparent-icons (Codex gpt-image-2 backend). Six stimulus thumbnails (gratings, photographs, Heider-Simmel triangles, abstract animation, character animation, live-action film) embedded along the x-axis of Fig 2; four brain-topo icons (occipital, central rolandic, left frontotemporal, occipital-and-frontal) embedded in the topography column of Fig 4. Each icon at 256x256 PNG with transparent background. theme.json documents the icon-bible style for reproducibility.
