The oqd-blade-trap-assembly repository contains the STEP model file for the OQD Isolated Blade Trap Assembly—a precision-designed ion-trap component developed by the Open Quantum Design team. For more details, see: arXiv:2512.11794.
OQD_isolated_blade_trap_assembly.stp
A 3D CAD model of the isolated blade trap assembly in STEP format (.stp).
This file is compatible with most CAD software including SolidWorks, Fusion 360, FreeCAD, and others.
This assembly is intended for use in:
- Trapped-ion quantum computing platforms
- Ion trap vacuum chamber integration
- Simulations and CAD-based thermal, mechanical, or electromagnetic analysis
- All mechanical features are modeled to high precision for manufacturability.
- Electrical isolation and UHV compatibility have been considered.
- Alignment holes, mounting points, and electrode gaps are accurately represented.
To explore or modify the hardware:
- Clone the repository:

- Open the design files in your preferred CAD tool.
