feat(keyboard): add MCHOSE Ace 68 Air panel - #1313
Adds a panel for the MCHOSE Ace 68 Air III, using the new mchose driver from @openmouse/keyboard-protocol (OpenMouse-Project/keyboard-protocol#15). It covers what M HUB offers for this board.
Included
Overview: profiles and names, official setups, save/load a profile to a file, factory reset (reconnects after the keyboard reboots).
Performance: key travel with live key depth, presets, per-direction rapid trigger precision; response settings and polling rate.
Buttons: remapping on all four layers with Mac labels, shortcuts and media icons.
Macro editor, lighting, per-key colours with a gradient painter.
Advanced: DKS, mod-tap, toggle, rapid snap and SOCD, plus calibration with per-key progress.
Preview fixture at ?preview=mchose-ace68-air. The panel is lazy-loaded.
Notes
Needs a @openmouse/keyboard-protocol release with the MCHOSE driver; the dependency is still 1.6.1.
The slider with a typed number field is now a shared SliderField, and the Wooting panel uses it.
JS budget raised to 4.01 MB and CSS to 176 kB, with notes in check-bundle-size.ts. The main chunk grows by 27 kB.
Strings are in all 12 locales. The translations are machine-written, so a native check would help.
Device art is mapped to mchose-ace68-air.png; the image still needs uploading.
Tested on my Ace 68 Air III. npm run check and npm run size pass.
Note
Add MCHOSE Ace 68 Air keyboard panel with full editor and profile support
Adds MchoseKeyboardClient with device detection, HID driver loading, calibration cleanup, and a polling-based reconnectAfterReboot helper in controller.ts
Adds an in-memory MchosePreviewClient for preview mode, registered under the mchose-ace68-air preview key
Adds the MCHOSE keyboard UI: remapping, advanced keys, macros, lighting, gradients, key colors, key testing, and profile import/export via MchoseKeyboardPanel.tsx and MchoseEditors.tsx
Adds locale strings for the new UI across all supported languages
Behavioral Change: WootingMmControl now uses the shared SliderField component, and bundle-size budgets in check-bundle-size.ts rise to 176,000 bytes CSS and 4,010,000 bytes JS
Added support for MCHOSE Ace 68 Air keyboards, including key remapping, performance and key-travel settings, macros, lighting, calibration, and profile import/export.
Added advanced key actions, per-key color selection and gradient painting, and live key testing.
Added profile management, presets, reset controls, and a keyboard preview with device artwork.
Added precise numeric slider fields and translations for the new controls across supported languages.
Bug Fixes
Improved keyboard reconnection after a device reboot.
A panel for the MCHOSE Ace 68 Air III on the new MCHOSE driver in
@openmouse/keyboard-protocol, covering what the vendor's M HUB app offers:
profiles with names, official setups, save and load to a file, factory
reset with automatic reconnect after the keyboard reboots; key travel with
live press depth, presets and per-direction rapid trigger precision;
keymaps with Mac labels, shortcuts and media icons; macros; DKS, mod-tap,
toggle, rapid snap and SOCD; lighting, per-key colours and a gradient
painter; calibration with per-key progress. Strings are in all 12
languages. A preview fixture is at ?preview=mchose-ace68-air.
The slider with a typed number field is now a shared component, and the
Wooting panel uses it in place of its own copy. Bundle budgets are raised
with notes on what was added.
Needs a keyboard-protocol release with the MCHOSE driver; the dependency
here is still 1.6.1.

Keep the reset keyboard's identity when its disconnect clears activeKeyboard.
The WebHID disconnect for the reset keyboard calls showDisconnectedState(), which calls clearActiveKeyboard(). reconnectAfterReboot() then returns at its activeKeyboard !== previous check, so the keyboard is not reopened. reconnectKeyboard() also finds no active keyboard. Record the rebooting device's vendor and product IDs before the disconnect clears state, and reopen from those IDs.

Validate keymap, travel, and color entries in the profile parser before the first keyboard write.
parseMchoseProfileFile checks only array lengths for these tables, so a null keymap action, travel record, or color passes. The import then writes settings and lighting, and may write travel, before it reads these entries. A null keymap action throws in the slots() filter, after the settings, lighting, and travel writes. A null travel record throws while its update is built, after the settings and lighting writes. A null color throws only when a current color exists, after the keymap writes. The keyboard keeps the writes that already completed, and the import reports an error.
Each keymap action must be an object with numeric type, code1, and code2. Each travel record and color must be an object. Null advanced entries need no change, because the import loop already skips them.

Commit the typed value to all selected MCHOSE keys in the mixed state.
When the selected keys differ, the actuation field shows the first selected key's value. Typing that value does not apply it to the other keys, because SliderField returns before onCommit when the entered value equals the displayed value. Pass a mixed-state flag from TravelCard so that an equal value still commits to every selected key.

- Reconnect after a factory reset also when the disconnect handler has
already cleared the old session, and skip the automatic switch when two
identical keyboards are connected.
- A key already in a rapid snap or SOCD pair keeps its stored tap when it
is paired again.
- Profile import records each write as it lands and exposes it through
recoveredWorkspace(), so a failure part-way shows what the keyboard
holds. Damaged profile files are refused before the first write, and
only complete profiles are saved.
- runKeyboardCommand() reports success; presets, the gradient painter and
calibration start stop when the write before them fails.
- Leaving the Advanced tab ends a running calibration.
- The macro recorder ignores keys typed into fields.
- With a Mixed badge, typing the shown value applies it to every
selected key.

With Mac layout on, the key travel, key colour, key test and calibration
decks name keys from the factory Mac layer (Option and Command where Win
and Alt sit), like the layer decks already did. The official setup menu
starts on the setup the profile's key travel matches exactly, with a
note saying so; the match is read from the keyboard, so it goes away as
soon as a key is changed.

We couldn't verify this from the code. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.
mchoseProfileFile checks key-table sizes but not the advanced-table sizes required by parseMchoseProfileFile, so it may export a file that cannot be imported.
Export offers a JSON backup that the same application's import rejects as not-profile.
This can occur when: A workspace has complete travel, colors, and keymaps but a truncated advanced.modTap table.

Unverified finding
We couldn't verify this from the code. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.
The parser checks advanced-table lengths but not entries or referenced slots. A keymap action can therefore point to a missing advanced binding and be written without that binding.
Import may install a key mapping whose advanced action is absent, changing or disabling what that key does.
This can occur when: An otherwise valid file references DKS slot 2 in its keymap but has advanced.dks[2] = null.

Reject incomplete travel records in parseMchoseProfileFile.
isObject accepts travel[7] = {}, but mchoseTravelRestore reads required fields from each travel record. Validate those fields and add a regression assertion for travel[7] = {}. Do not reject unreferenced null entries in advanced tables based on this issue.

- Profile files: travel records and colours must have their numeric
fields, every advanced-key slot the keymap points at must be present,
and a profile saves only with complete advanced tables.
- Calibration: a failed End keeps the panel calibrating, a Start that
finishes after the card is gone is ended, and leaving the tab retries
End until the keyboard is free.
- The macro recorder records a release only for a key it saw pressed.

matchingPreset treats a preset with no generated updates as a match because every succeeds on an empty array.
The panel identifies the first official setup as matching without comparing any key travel.
This can occur when: mchose.travel contains records while mchose.layout is empty, or the preset generator produces no updates for the available layout.

The key tester matched what the computer receives to keys by their
Windows-layer usage, so with Mac layout on, Alt lit the Left Alt key
instead of the key that sends it. It now matches by the active layer's
keymap and logs the same labels as the deck. Mac labels wait for the
factory Mac layer to load, and an empty layout never matches an official
setup. From review.

Map a remapped key to its sent usage, not its physical usage.
The key tester maps each received keyboard usage to a layout key. For a key whose active-layer action is not a plain key (a macro or media action), sentUsage returns null, and the map falls back to the key's physical usage. A KeyA event from any attached keyboard then lights the remapped A key, although that key no longer sends A. Skip the physical-usage fallback for remapped non-key actions so the key lights only when its configured output arrives. Unbound keys need a separate decision, because the fallback also covers them.

bound accepts any object for a keymap-referenced DKS, toggle, or mod-tap entry. An empty {} passes parsing. mchoseImport then writes it after the settings, lighting, and travel writes. Check each referenced entry's required fields during parsing, so a damaged file fails before the first write.

isNumbers accepts any JavaScript number, including fractional, negative, and oversized travel steps and RGB channels. An imported file may pass parsing but fail during a device write or apply unintended values.
Import can fail after earlier writes, or the keyboard can receive settings different from those represented by a valid profile.

mchoseProfileFile checks table lengths but not their entries, despite its assertion that a saved file always loads back. A workspace containing a null action or incomplete travel record could be exported and rejected by parseMchoseProfileFile.
The user downloads a backup that the import UI reports as invalid.
This can occur when: A workspace read or recovery leaves 128 travel records and four 128-action layers, but one record or action is malformed.

The new held set prevents unmatched releases, but recording has no completion or blur path that emits releases for keys it captured as pressed. Stopping recording while a key is held can leave an unmatched press in the macro draft.
A saved macro may leave that key logically held or otherwise replay a different sequence than the user recorded.
This can occur when: The user starts recording, holds a key, then stops recording or switches away before its keyup reaches the recorder.

matchingPreset excludes only an empty layout or travel table. If mchoseTravelPresetUpdates returns no updates for a nonempty but unsupported layout, .every() succeeds and the first preset is falsely reported as matching.
The profile card displays a preset match although none of its travel settings were compared.
This can occur when: A recognized workspace has layout keys whose usages are absent from a preset's update mapping.

Bind calibration-end retries to the client that started calibration.
endCalibration retries for up to 5 seconds. Each retry sends end to whichever keyboard is active at that moment. A replacement MCHOSE keyboard that connects in that window receives an unrelated calibration end. Limit retries to the client that started calibration. The controller's client-identity checks show the pattern to follow.

Add mod-tap test cases where only one action is missing.
The existing case sets copy.advanced.modTap[1] to {}, so both tap and hold are absent. A validator that checks only tap, or only hold, still rejects this input. The test therefore cannot detect a change that drops one of the two isAction checks in src/device/mchose-profile-file.ts.
Keep the existing empty-entry case. Add cases in which one action is missing or malformed and the other is valid. Each new case should expect the same not-profile rejection.

The new release lookup depends on processing keyup, but the handler's editable-field filter runs before it. A key pressed outside a field and released after focus enters one leaves its recorded indexes lit.
The tester continues showing the key as pressed after its release.
This can occur when: Press Tab while the tester is visible, let it move focus into an input, then release Tab over that input.
