It runs locally on Windows, so there is no need for an internet connection once installed. JKRiver keeps your data on your device, making it secure and private.
- Windows 10 or newer (64-bit recommended)
- At least 4 GB of RAM
- 500 MB of free storage space
- A stable processor (Intel i3 or better)

Follow these steps to download and run JKRiver on your computer.

On the releases page, find the latest version. It will be the top entry. Under "Assets," find the Windows installer file, usually ending in .exe.
Look for a filename that might look like:
JKRiver-Setup-vX.X.X.exe
Click the .exe file to download it to your computer. Your browser will save it to your Downloads folder by default.
- Open the folder where you saved the file.
- Double-click the installer file to start the setup.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. Click "Next" to move through steps.
- You can choose the default settings unless you want to change the install location.
- When installation completes, click "Finish."
- After installing, find JKRiver in your Start menu or on your desktop.
- Double-click to open it.
- The app will load and be ready to use.
