OpenRouter's Azure route for MAI Transcribe 2 can reject individual dictations with HTTP 429 even while other requests succeed. Retry confirmed rate-limit responses at most twice, respecting Retry-After, a five-second retry-admission window, and the original overall timeout. Rebuild each upload from retained audio; credit failures, other HTTP errors, cancellation, and ambiguous response timeouts do not trigger replay.
Persist Live Mic failures separately from recognized speech and show a readable, localized error in Transcript Detail. Preserve partial speech and exclude legacy error-only content from word counts and transcript copy/export actions. Distinguish rate limits from billing failures. Prepare version 0.5.128.
Validation: the original 398 backend regressions and 134 release/version/frontend contracts passed; the final follow-up passed all 152 lifecycle tests, 118 frontend library tests, and 125 component tests. Scoped mypy, repository Ruff/format, frontend typecheck/lint/build, backend runtime imports, and German browser verification also passed. Includes real local HTTP recovery after two 429 responses, empty configuration-failure persistence, and legacy storage-error handling for File and YouTube. Full GitHub quality gates run before merge/publication.
