[Feature]: Support /loop command in TUI for scheduled in-session prompts (similar to Claude Code) #531
When working on tasks that require continuous monitoring (e.g., polling CI/CD status, watching long build/test runs, or waiting for external deploy events) in the terminal TUI, users currently have to repeatedly trigger prompts manually. Although Desktop has a Schedules feature, it lacks a lightweight, in-session recurring trigger for the CLI/TUI.
Desired behavior / Feature proposal
Support a /loop slash command in the interactive TUI to re-run prompts on an interval within the current session:
Fixed interval loop:
/loop 5m check PR status and fix failing CI
/loop 2m check if build completed
Cancellation:
Stop via Esc or /stop at any time.
Automatically exit once target criteria are satisfied or max retries reached.
In-session context retention:
Executes in the current session rather than spawning new sessions, preserving recent turn context.
Platform
All platforms (macOS, Linux, Windows)
Alternatives and additional context
Currently running shell scripts with sleep loops via bash, which lacks seamless integration with the active session context.
