WinUAE 6.0.1 "Please insert volume Sharedde in any drive"

Hi,

Using WinUAE 6.0.1 (2025.08.10) 64-bit, initially CTRL+F6 works, but quickly I get this error message.

Any ideas? If there are local logs I can inspect or some other debug please let me know.

From the Help menu in VS Code, you can enable the Developer Tools and view the console, but this sounds like an issue with serial communication between VS Code and WinUAE. Please try the serial settings in Known Issues as well as version 4.4 of WinUAE. I have made some changes to the serial communication in version 0.11 (not yet published), but WinUAE 4.4 works perfectly for me while 6.0 gives me similar errors.

WinUAE 5.3.10 also works fine for me as well as the latest FS-UAE (3.1.66). WinUAE 6.0.0 and 6.0.1 cause problems.

Thanks, yeah for now I'm back using 5 which is generally all good. Thanks for making this stuff, its really helpful for BB dev.
