Science fiction

Works should be labeled as science fiction if:

• they are set in a speculative/imagined future, including the near future
• include imagined technologies that did not exist when the work was created, or speculative uses of current technologies
• dystopias/utopias set in the future should always be labeled as science fiction
• works set in an imagined past should generally not be labeled as science fiction, unless it focuses heavily on speculation + technology
