What

  • CI: tests workflow runs the full suite (31 unit + integration tests) and a syntax check of the dashboard script on windows-latest, for every PR and every push to main. It has to be Windows: HogWatch uses iphlpapi ICMP and ETW.
  • Line endings: .gitattributes checks the .cmd/.ps1 launchers out with CRLF, because cmd.exe can misparse LF-only batch files.
  • Dashboard: /?hours=6 (or 1/24/168) opens that time range directly, and pings under 1 ms show as <1 instead of 0.
  • README: tests badge, plus light/dark dashboard screenshots that follow the viewer's GitHub theme. The screenshots use demo data only, so no real device names appear.

Testing

  • python -m unittest discover -s tests: 31 passed locally
  • node --check hogwatch/static/app.js: OK
  • Screenshots rendered from the real dashboard code against a scratch demo database

HogWatch uses Windows-only APIs (ICMP via iphlpapi, ETW), so the job runs on
windows-latest. Also check out .cmd/.ps1 launchers with CRLF so cmd.exe parses them.

… as <1

/?hours=6 opens the 6-hour view (bookmarks, screenshots). A 0.4 ms ping to
the nearest eero read as a suspicious '0 ms'.

Light and dark screenshots follow the viewer's GitHub theme. They use demo
data only; no real device names.
