Description
Currently, ctop provides a minimal in-app help view when pressing H, while the full list of keybindings is documented only in the README.
For users who are new to the tool, this requires switching back to the Git repository to discover or remember available shortcuts, which breaks the flow of usage.
Proposed improvement
- Add an in-app keybindings view to improve discoverability, for example:
- Pressing K opens a list of available keybindings
- Or extending the existing help view (H) to include the full keybindings list
Current behavior
- H shows a limited help view
- Full keybindings are only available in the README
Expected behavior
- Keybindings are discoverable directly from within the application
- Users do not need to leave the tool to reference shortcuts
Impact
- Improves UX, especially for new users
- Reduces reliance on external documentation
- No impact on core functionality
Notes
This is a usability improvement rather than a functional requirement, but it would make the tool more approachable and self-contained.
