Release Notes: resQ v1.0.0 Gemini Hackathon MVP

resQ is an open-source emergency dispatch application designed to provide help at the speed of sound. This initial release focuses on bridging the gap between a crisis and an accurate response by combining voice context with precise GPS tracking.

  • Voice Intelligence: High-quality audio recording capturing the context of the emergency.
  • Precision Tracking: Integrated GPS tracking that fetches high-accuracy coordinates (Location.Accuracy.High) the moment recording begins.
  • Strict Location Guard: For increased safety, the app ensures coordinates are locked before dispatch, ensuring responders never fly blind.
  • Animated Feedback: A subtle "breathing" ring animation provides immediate visual confirmation that the system is active.
  • Secure Authentication: Built-in security and user identification powered by Clerk.

Installation Instructions

  1. Download the attached resQ.apk.
  2. Open the file on your Android device.
  3. If prompted, "Allow installation from unknown sources" (this is standard for APKs outside the Play Store).
  4. Launch the app, sign in, and you're ready.

Note for Reviewers

This build was created for the hackathon submission. It is optimized for speed of response and minimal user interaction. Development builds can be triggered by contributors using the instructions in the main README.
