What:

  • Added an accessible toggle group pattern (role="group", aria-label, aria-pressed, focus-visible outlines) to the wind speed unit toggle in the Hardware Configuration settings.
  • Added an aria-label to the backup file <Input> in the Data Portability settings.
  • Documented this custom toggle group UX pattern in .Jules/palette.md.

Why:
Custom toggle button groups and file inputs without explicit labeling or keyboard navigation support are inaccessible. Screen reader users need proper context to understand active states, and keyboard users need visible focus indicators to navigate confidently.

Accessibility:

  • Screen readers will now announce "Wind speed unit group" and communicate the pressed state of the individual toggles (e.g., "m/s, toggle button, pressed").
  • The file input now has an explicit name for screen readers.
  • Keyboard navigation is improved with clear focus-visible styling that matches the app's design system tokens (accent-primary).
