MultiPlayer How To's
This tutorial is designed to help make understanding multiplayer work better:
1.Start NavalBattle, and log-on.
2.Start a single player game as normal.
3.Depending on whether you are connected to the network or not and if you are using certain version of NavalBattle, the following message box may appear:
4.Distribute your IP address to the people on the same network as you, that wish to play with you.
5.Congratulations! You've successfully started a server!
1.Start NavalBattle, and log-on.
2.Press "Multiplayer".
3.Depending on your version, one of two things may appear:
4.Either one will require an IP address to be inputted.
5.Press "Launch" or "OK", and after a few seconds, you should be connected to the server.
- In some versions, you can check the "Read-only mode" checkbox to only allow the client (you) to watch. Having this unchecked will allow you to modify the server's grid.
- A speedious connection is recommended. The Game may only be able to run in optimal network conditions.
- Start NavalBattle, and log-on.
2.Start a single player game as normal.
3.Depending on whether you are connected to the network or not and if you are using certain version of NavalBattle, the following message box may appear:
4.Configure your router to externally redirect port 670 to your IP address (the IP address that may have been given to you in the message box.). This may differ based on the type of router you have.
5.Find your external ip address google will typically show you directly here. Distribute this address to clients across the web to connect to your computer.
6.Congratulations! You've successfully started a server!
WARNING: Opening ports on your router may cause unwanted activity, such as being hacked by third-parties. To limit the possibilities of this happening, always close your ports after you have finished playing with friends.

3.Open the pause menu, and open the Multiplayer tab.
4.Click the "Invite" button. Type in the person's RoketGamer username.
5.Wait a while for the client to accept the connection.
6.Congratulations! You've successfully started a game!

2.Press "Multiplayer".
3.Select the RoketGame radio button. Server(s) should appear in the selection box.
4.Press "Launch", and after a while, you should be connected to the host.
