Baldur's Gate 3 party, build, and inventory analysis tool focused on real save data, physical item ownership, canonical game/mod facts, mechanic interactions, DRS, and fail-closed recommendations.
AMP Lab v8.0.0 — CP09 Canonical Product Preview
Status: Development Preview — not yet the final product-complete release
The current build has moved away from the old multi-tab scoring/benchmark design. The product now centers on one canonical pipeline and three primary player-facing surfaces: Dashboard, Party Forge, and Item Hunt, with About and Verification as secondary views.

AMP Lab now follows one shared authority chain:

NO NEW SCORING · FAIL CLOSED
Legacy data/code may still provide parsing, identity mappings, names, icons, tooltips, raw facts, and diagnostic candidate discovery. It is not allowed to become final recommendation authority.
- Party summary and important findings.
- Arsenal for useful alternatives, low-value / no-current-use equipment, and unresolved inventory identities.
- Archetypes discovered from owned-item mechanics and action-loop relations.
- Consider Playing... candidate directions when the canonical mechanic evidence supports a playable path.
- Four-character BG3-style party presentation.
- Physical item allocation with unique UUID ownership preserved.
- Main Hand / Off Hand / Ranged Weapon plus armor/accessory slots.
- Canonical representative equipment state.
- Exact legal/contextual spell connections where supported.
- Build-matched Shard evidence.
- Level-aware and selectable-choice surfaces remain fail-closed where their required authority is incomplete.
- Removes already-owned item identities from the canonical item universe.
- Finds mechanic-relevant missing items.
- Supports virtual
ADD_ITEM/ counterfactual analysis. - Groups AMP hunt targets by Void Capsule source where verified.
- Planar Coin / Void Capsule membership is a random reward-pool relationship, not a guaranteed drop.
Human-readable explanation of the canonical pipeline, DRS, evidence states, Party Forge, Archetypes, Item Hunt, and ruleset separation.
Exposes ruleset/source profile, canonical fingerprints, provenance, limitations, and the reason a result is PROVEN, PARTIAL, or UNRESOLVED.
AMP Lab follows causal mechanic chains instead of treating matching keywords as automatic synergy.

Unsupported links remain unresolved instead of becoming hidden bonus value.
Vanilla and D&D 5.5e & Beyond remain explicit, separate semantic universes.
- Vanilla does not consume D&D2024 / pycy semantic modifications.
- D&D2024 / compatibility-patch semantics are 5.5e-only.
- Void Capsules are base AMP content and may exist in both Vanilla and 5.5e.
The current CP09 preview is intentionally honest about incomplete authority. The following are still product-completion work rather than finished recommendation systems:
- Equipment legality authority still needs a canonical proficiency / exact slot-hand projection for fully actionable Item Hunt placement.
- Item Hunt actionability must support proven dominance /
PROVEN BETTERwithout requiring a fake scalar percentage. - Choice / Progression Authority for Feats, ASI, Metamagic, Invocations, Maneuvers, Fighting Styles, Expertise, and similar selectable choices is not yet complete.
- Canonical Respec is not yet a full rebuilt-Build-Reality → reallocation → evaluator → counterfactual consumer.
- Shard recommendations remain compatibility/build-match evidence unless the Shard's effect semantics are evaluator-bound.
- Exact multiclass splits use source evidence where available and must remain manually confirmed when the save cannot prove the split.
- A certified representative is not automatically a proven unique best party state.
See the in-app Verification surface for exact limitations in a loaded save.
- AMP Lab is read-only with respect to BG3 saves.
- Physical item UUIDs are preserved; one physical item cannot be assigned to multiple characters at once.
- Missing canonical evidence fails closed rather than falling back to a hidden score.
- Vanilla and 5.5e semantic data are kept separate.
- Technical provenance belongs in Verification rather than the normal player-facing UI.
When reporting an issue, please include:
- The selected / detected ruleset.
- The character/build involved.
- The Dashboard, Party Forge, or Item Hunt surface involved.
- A screenshot of the result or error.
- What you expected to happen.
- Any evidence label shown (
PROVEN,PARTIAL,UNRESOLVED).
Especially useful reports include incorrect item/mechanic interpretations, wrong receiver/slot legality, unreasonable archetypes, missing icons/tooltips, spell/choice/Shard recommendation issues, Void Capsule mapping problems, crashes, and confusing evidence states.
Development/public-test and stable Windows binaries are distributed through GitHub Releases. The repository tracks release metadata, checksums, documentation, and recovery/validation tooling. Large third-party source inputs, saves, runtime snapshots, and mod packages are not committed.
