+# How to Submit Milestones
+
+This guide explains how awarded research teams should submit milestone reports for their Product Research Initiative grants for Product Committee Members to review and approve their work. This process goes alongside the [Milestone Acceptance Form](https://2481018198-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FIRp51uGU1I74w1Nk9JvV%2Fuploads%2FeUk6VgWA6lBBKkqut8Iq%2FMAF%20Template%202026.docx?alt=media&token=b7f4f777-7bc6-45f2-b5b5-c19bdef1d82d) needed for the Intersect Billing team to release payment.

+## Overview
+
+Milestone reports are how the Product Committee tracks progress, validates deliverables, and approves grant payments. Each milestone must be submitted as a pull request to this site so reports are publicly visible and auditable.
+
+## Submission Process
+
+### 1. Find your team directory
+
+Your reports go in your team's directory under `docs/product-research/`. For example, NexTrium's reports go in `docs/product-research/nextrium/`.
+
+### 2. Create your milestone file
+
+Name the file using the pattern:
+

+```
+
+For example: `milestone-1.md`
+
+Copy the [Milestone Report Template](/product-research/milestone-template) and fill in all sections. Do not leave placeholder text in the submitted report.
+
+### 3. Submit a pull request
+
+1. Fork the [product-website repository](https://github.com/IntersectMBO/product-website)
+2. Add your milestone file to the correct RFP directory
+3. Open a pull request with the title format: `[RFP-XX] <Team Name> — Milestone N`
+4. The Product Committee will review and merge once the deliverables are verified
+
+## What Gets Reviewed
+
+The committee checks that:
+
+- All deliverables listed in the milestone are present and linked
+- Evidence (documents, data, reports) is publicly accessible or attached
+- Budget figures are consistent with your grant agreement
+- The next milestone plan is clearly described
+
+## Milestone Payment
+
+After Product Committee has review and approved your milestone the pull request is merged, then the Product Committee Chair will sign your [Milestone Acceptance Form](https://2481018198-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FIRp51uGU1I74w1Nk9JvV%2Fuploads%2FeUk6VgWA6lBBKkqut8Iq%2FMAF%20Template%202026.docx?alt=media&token=b7f4f777-7bc6-45f2-b5b5-c19bdef1d82d). The payment process will continue with the Intersect billing team.
