Gaussian-Viewer

Backup of the nerfstudio/viser viewer code used for viewing Gaussian splatting (Splatfacto) and other NeRF-style reconstructions.

Contents

• nerfstudio_viewer/ — nerfstudio viewer module (Python). Main UI logic, control/render/export panels. Used when running ns-viewer.
• nerfstudio_viewer_legacy/ — Legacy viewer (Python + legacy app). Alternative viewer implementation.
• viser/ — Viser package: web-based 3D viewer backend + frontend (React/TypeScript in client/). Serves the browser UI and communicates with nerfstudio.

Origin

Copied from a nerfstudio conda env (site-packages) for backup and custom UI modifications.
Upstream: nerfstudio, viser.

Usage

This repo is a snapshot for reference/editing. To run the viewer in practice, use nerfstudio:

ns-viewer --load-config /path/to/outputs/.../config.yml

To apply custom changes: replace the corresponding folders in your env's site-packages with the edited versions from this repo, or install from a fork.
