Retrieve geometry of a Rasters

The geometry of a Raster can be retrieved in the raster, but also by transforming the raster file in shapefile can you please use one of the both solutions in order to retrieve this geometry from the frontend.

Why would we use shapefile as exchange format, as we already decided to use geojson?
I propose to integrate a feature collection containing the selected perimeter (unified shape) as we do for vectors.
