The name badge that tells people whether to come say hi.
Blob is a blue blob-shaped name badge with a white panel for your name in marker and a gold "social battery" on its belly. Boop its mouth (the button) to set the battery: green says come say hi, yellow says happy to chat briefly, red says recharging. The chosen LED flashes every few seconds; hold the mouth and its red cheeks blush and the bars wave. An ATtiny412 sleeps in power-down between ticks, so a CR2032 lasts about 11 months of 40-hour weeks, and it switches itself off after 10 hours without a boop. A lanyard slot on top.

- Name: a 50 x 14 mm white silk panel under "hello, I'm"; permanent marker on, isopropyl alcohol off.
- Social battery: three LEDs in a gold battery outline: green (an InGaN die on 47 ohm, so a 3 V cell drives it), yellow, red; a 40 ms flash every 2.5 s.
- Mouth: TS-1187A button on PA6 (wakes power-down): boop = next level, hold = blush and wave.
- Cheeks: two red LEDs in gold rings.
- Power: one CR2032 in a Keystone 3034 holder; about 90 uA with a level set, 1.5 uA off (see SPEC.md).
Blue solder mask, White silkscreen, ENIG copper finish, 1.6 mm FR4, top-side SMT assembly. The gold art is bare copper under a mask opening (ENIG), drawn with its own keep-out so no track runs under it. The QR code on the back opens https://heypcb.ai/world/b/c0d18f4323d0.
Designed with the HeyPCB method on KiCad 10.0.6, headless, by the heypcb-kicad pipeline: a written
brief composed from reusable circuit blocks, every pin from KiCad's own symbol library, every part bound
to an LCSC number from a dated catalogue read, then ERC, a netlist round trip, locked placement,
Freerouting 2.4.1, pours, silkscreen and board art, DRC with schematic parity, DFM and a fab gate,
each stage gated by a measurement. design/make_brief.py regenerates the brief (outline, part
locks and art) from code.
Part of the heypcb.ai merch collection.
Hardware: CERN-OHL-S v2. Firmware: MIT (see firmware/LICENSE). KiCad's symbol, footprint and 3D
libraries used in the design are CC-BY-SA 4.0 with the KiCad library exception.
