Command line reference request

For the students who are unfamiliar with command line commands, could you give a introductory reference for the commands?

For what we've seen so far:
ls lists files in the current, or a given, directory
cd changes to a new directory
g++ invokes the compiler
make runs the Makefile in the current directory

I think Codeacadmy has an introduction to the command line course (and also one on git) that you might find useful.

man <cmd> or <cmd> --help/-h will be useful.
