I created this PR here, so that it can be merged already / independent of #99. I think reviewing the full #99 might need some more time and testing (and possibly cleanup of the git history), and also has some strategic element as part of the review: what Jena version to support / require as minimum. |

I often encounter timeouts in the test case
WebOnt-description-logic-905.This has been authored by @cristianolongoodhl in #99, but is unrelated to the primary changes of that PR, so I think it is worth being applied separately.
