loop serial markers and an fbuild exit code of 0 for success, matching the
requirements enforced by `avr8js_run_succeeded`. Keep the separate smoke-run
criteria unchanged.

Summary
Use native fbuild for both
bash test --run uno ...and the existing AVR8JS CI template. The maintained path no longer pullsniteris/fastled-avr8js:latest. This completes the native-emulation follow-up from #4884 / #4836.fbuild test-emu. Reuse the shared executable/environment helpers, including the explicit local development override.Testserial markers and successful exit. Other sketches accept only success or fbuild's exact terminal timeout verdict for their bounded smoke duration; build failures and outer timeouts still fail.Timer1 correction found by full CI
The first full CI run exposed an AVR GCC 7.3 LTO internal compiler error in the weak COMPA alias merged by #4884. Merely moving the alias into assembly linked but selected the CRT default handler, so that candidate was discarded.
Use a strong compare-B ISR instead, with
OCR1B = OCR1Aat CTC TOP andOCIE1Bin every lifecycle path. Compare A remains Servo's vector; attachment checks its linked address against the CRT default before allocation or register changes. This preserves frequency and the Servo busy result without weak aliases. Another library defining a strong COMPB ISR remains a link-time conflict; the timer is not shareable with Servo.Verification
Eight focused verdict cases and targeted Python lint pass locally. Final full CI passed on the exact reviewed head.
The complete local runner ran
TestandBlinkwith the merged local 2.5.43 binaries: both passed in 34 seconds, with no process intervention.Testexited on both serial markers; Blink reached its intended 15-second emulation timeout and returned automatically.CI label generation/check passes. This platform-sensitive PR selects
ci-full.Installed the published 2.5.43 wheel with
uv lock --refresh-package fbuild && uv sync; both CLI and Python bindings report 2.5.43. WithFBUILD_EXECUTABLEandFBUILD_DEV_MODEunset,bash test --run uno Test Blinkpassed both sketches in 35.48 seconds. All five platform wheels are visible on PyPI.A real-Servo Uno runtime probe also passed:
Servo::attach(9)followed by FastLED timer attachment returns -16, leaves the handle invalid, and preserves all six checked Timer1 registers. Evidence.Final Timer1 correction:
AnalogOutputreproduced the GCC LTO ICE before the change and links afterward, with LTO still enabled. C++ lint and independent source review pass.Final standalone native AVR8JS probe: attachment returned 0 with a valid handle and 101 callbacks over 100 ms at 1 kHz. ELF resolves COMPB to a strong FastLED ISR.
Final official Servo probe (Arduino Servo
440b319ec11ea2664df8ce201c271c935de28a2d):Servo::attach(9)then FastLED attachment returned -16, invalid handle, and all six Timer1 register snapshots unchanged. These final ISR probes used the existing local 2.5.42 daemon for compilation and invoked fbuild's cached AVR8JS driver through native Node because another session was actively using that daemon. The published 2.5.43 full-runner verification above was completed before that local daemon version conflict.Final tree
8e6df0ef55, published wheel 2.5.43, normal production mode and no binary override:bash test --run uno Test Blink AnalogOutput3 passed, 0 failed in 46.08 seconds, no process intervention.CI infrastructure follow-up
An ESP32-C3 QEMU boot timeout passed on retry. A separate intermittent Linux daemon wildcard-port startup failure is tracked with source analysis and a local socket-conflict reproduction in FastLED/fbuild#1700; affected board jobs are retried without changing firmware or weakening checks.
