We've come across this issue before in #2873.

This occurs when there is a mismatch in versions between mp3gain and its lib dependencies, caused by certain updates. We should leave this one open and maybe we can find a more permanent fix.

As of right now, the current solution is to reinstall mp3gain. It requires having your UI level set to advanced or higher to access the packages page.
Go to Content Setup > Packages.... In the field, type mp3gain and click Get Info. It will show you information below about the mp3gain package with a big "Reinstall Package" button. Click that button to reinstall mp3gain. It will fix its dependencies on reinstall. Please confirm that this workaround works so that we can work towards a more permanent fix. Also, if you could provide some information regarding what version you were on last when it was working and if you did an OS upgrade, it may provide us with some more insight on where the mismatch in dependencies occured.

Hi @jessica12ryan,

Those steps worked. I upgraded from 8.5 to 10.1.2. I know it was working on 8.5. I was to late to the game last year to upgrade to 9.
