feat: add video support for intercom lines (WHIP/WHEP, H264) #692
Tracking issue for PR #684, which adds in-call participant video: publish the local camera via WHIP and consume remote video via WHEP (H264/VP8 over SMB), with self-preview, per-tile video grid, source pinning, return-feed and fullscreen controls, plus the video-enabled toggle in production setup.
This issue's PR (#684) has now received 3
automated "Needs Changes" reviews without landing — pausing automatic retries here per the
daily-backlog-pr escalation guard (MAX_ATTEMPTS=3).
Context a human should weigh in on: PR #684 is the frontend half of the cross-repo video-support
stack (companion backend PR Eyevinn/intercom-manager#315, which is already approved, green, and
merge-ready). Both PRs are stack-flagged. A mechanical per-PR pass isn't the right tool here — the
remaining work needs a human (or the video-support implementation agent) to assess the two PRs
together and drive the frontend half to completion, after which the stack can be merged in order
(backend #315 first, then frontend #684).
Parking this board item in Ready (unassigned) so it stops looping through automated review.
