I am also not sure what's in a GX12 that makes it require 3.6, but when I flashed with 3.5.4 it essentially softbricked the module with just the fan running and no response in the Lua. Didn't even fall back to emergency wifi.

I didn't try other versions to see if there's other 3.5.x versions the do work, but unless anyone wants to do a full investigation into what exact version it needs, I think this is good enough.
